York/ Manchester-based noise-punk band SEEP AWAY have unleashed a remix of their debut single, 'Trudge', by US industrial heavyweights Cyanotic as a free download, one day after the track was debuted via Regen Magazine! Cyanotic mastermind Sean Payne had this to say about working on the track: "It's like grimey UK hardcore on top of digital bangery: angry robot style!" The collaboration came about following initial interest from SEEP AWAY drummer, Dom Smith: "I'm a massive fan of industrial and alt-electronic music, and the rest of the band are all about finding new ways to develop the sound, so Cyanotic was a natural choice - Sean's work, and his label Glitch Mode's output has always been awesome. What had its beginning last autumn in the form of the first part of the musical horror story ‘Episode 1: Astoria’, will reach its gruesome climax this spring.Inspired by bestselling German author Kai Meyer’s short story ‘Das Fleisch der Vielen’ (‘The Flesh of Many’), which was written exclusively for this project, ASP unleash the wonderful, tragic, yet romantic horror story - featuring protagonists Paul and the mysterious spectral figure ‘Astoria’ - onto their delighted audience. In order to be able to dedicate himself to the realization of this unique and unusual album concept, ASP mastermind Asp Spreng even delayed the continuation of his intense ‚Fremder’ album cycle for a little while to devote all his energies to working on this musical gothic novel.
