In 2023 it will be “High the horns” for the 17th time for fans of the Middle Ages and its music. The concept of combining Extreme Metal and the Middle Ages has proven itself and so the celebrations range from Pagan Folk to Medieval Market Music, Speed Folk, Medieval Rock and Folk Metal to Spherical Black and Pagan Metal. Thursday is new as the fixed 3rd day of the festival. The location is a burnt down former farm, surrounding meadows are used as a campsite. The 25 bands play on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from around 12pm to 2am.

For the 50th anniversary of the most iconic of all Rock bands, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer say goodbye to their fans with 50 final shows worldwide. They will play five of them in Germany this summer. “We’ll give it our all again!”, Paul recently promised on the Howard Stern Show. And when KISS promise that, then you know what that means: the whole big bang! Because everything under huge is too small.

“Wir sind die Generation, die niemals aufhört zu tanzen” (We are the generation that never stops dancing), shouts singer Andreas Seitz to the cheering crowd at one of the rousing shows by LEICHTMATROSE. “The longing for the big songs” - for melodies that buzz in your head for weeks and you catch yourself singing along again and again – “for lyrics that shake you up, shock you and move you at the same time.” LEICHTMATROSE have made this their goal. The new EP ‘Wir Kinder Vom Bahnhof Adamo’ will be released on May 5th. In it, the band deals with the destructive power that growing up brings with it. A critical, reflective look at youth.

Exactly ten years ago, JESUS ON EXTASY released their last proof of life. However, there must be some truth to the proverb “the condemned live longer”, because the synth rockers are back from their prolonged summer break, reunited and more motivated than ever, bringing you new music and the intent to put the demons of the past to rest once and for all. “The long break was necessary to realize who we are, what we want and how we want to walk the path as JoE in the future,” Dorian Deveraux explains. Chai Deveraux elaborates on what this new path might look like: “Harder, uncompromising and most importantly more authentic.”

GIRLS UNDER GLASS unveil the black and white video ‘We Feel Alright’, which is also the first single taken from the forthcoming album ‘Backdraft’. After a long hiatus the Hamburgian Gothic Rockers return with fiery new tracks that take the best elements from the band’s past and shapes them into an album that leads the way to the future. The release date of ‘Backdraft’ has been slated to June 2, 2023.
