Twenty One Pilots - “The Clancy World Tour 2025”
GRAMMY Award-winning duo TWENTY ONE PILOTS have announced details of their major worldwide headline tour, “The Clancy World Tour”. They have also released ‘Next Semester’, a new song from their highly anticipated upcoming album ‘Clancy’. The new long player was released on 17 May via Fueled By Ramen. TWENTY ONE PILOTS will also be coming to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for six concerts in 2025 as part of their “The Clancy World Tour”.
TWENTY ONE PILOTS will celebrate the release of the new album with “The Clancy World Tour”, their biggest headline tour, kicking off in Denver on 15 August 2024. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will criss-cross North America in autumn, followed by shows in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the UK. Last month, TWENTY ONE PILOTS returned with the announcement of ‘Clancy’ and released the album’s lead single ‘Overcompensate’ along with an official music video directed by Reel Bear Media. The track, which is rapidly moving up the Alternative Radio charts and is currently in the Top 5, generated massive attention upon its release as it took listeners back into the immersive world of the band's ‘Trench’.
With over 33 billion streams worldwide and over 3 million tickets sold on global headline tours, Columbus, Ohio duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have established themselves as one of the most successful bands of the 21st century and redefined the sound of a generation. Co-produced by Joseph and Paul Meany, ‘Clancy’ marks the latest chapter in an ambitious, multi-part narrative first introduced on the band’s breakthrough 2015 multi-platinum breakthrough, ‘Blurryface’. Furthermore, the upcoming release of ‘Clancy’ on 17 May coincides with the 9th anniversary of ‘Blurryface’, which was released nine years earlier to the day. TWENTY ONE PILOTS expanded on the ambitious concept of ‘Blurryface’ with their 2018 platinum album ‘Trench’. Featuring the multi-platinum and platinum singles ‘Chlo-rine’, ‘My Blood’ and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated song ‘Jumpsuit’, the album was featured on Billboard, KERRANG!, Alternative Press and Rock Sound's year-end best-of lists, hitting #1 on the latter.
Certified RIAA Gold in 2021, the epic album ‘Scaled And Icy’ debuted at #1 on both the Billboard ‘Rock Albums’ and ‘Alternative Albums’ charts and landed at #3 on the Billboard 200, marking the biggest opening week sales for a rock album in 2021. The long-player featured the #1 alternative radio hits ‘The Outside’, ‘Saturday’ and ‘Shy Away’, with the latter rising to #1 in just three weeks, putting the duo in an elite group of acts that have risen to #1 in the format with multiple songs in three weeks or less, including: U2, R.E.M., THE CURE, LINKIN PARK, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and FOO FIGHTERS.
The GRAMMY® Award-winning band has shaped music and culture as an unrivalled creative force, achieving a unique position with an ever-evolving vision. The Columbus-based duo has achieved over 33 billion global streams, sold more than three million tickets worldwide, earned dozens of multi-platinum certifications and even earned a spot in the Guinness® Book of World Records. In historic fashion, their quadruple-platinum breakthrough album ‘Blurryface’ started out as “the first album to receive an RIAA Gold or Platinum certification for each of its songs,” while ‘Vessel’ achieved the same and received the same honour. They rose to become “one of only 18 artists to receive multiple RIAA Diamond certifications” and were Diamond-certified with ‘Stressed Out’ as well as ‘Heathens’. ‘Trench’, which was certified platinum in 2018, expanded on the ambitious concept of ‘Blurryface’ and delivered the multi-platinum and platinum singles ‘Chlorine’ and ‘My Blood’.
