MORRISSEY has confirmed that he has been contacted about reforming THE SMITHS for a reuinon tour but has turned down the offer which is thought to have been worth around £40 million. He also revealed that the offer involved just himself and JOHNNY MARR and wasn't dependant on the involvement of either MIKE JOYCE or ANDY ROURKE. Morrissey has also said that he will stop playing after his current tour although he has announced a series of US residencies which are expected to be his farewell concerts. With a fast growing fan base and a hit in the Dutch charts DELAIN is one of the new successful bands in The Netherlands. Reason enough to get listed for the ' New Sounds Of Europe Award.' The rules are simple: every country nominates their best new bands, people vote and you have a top act that represents The Netherlands on the first of November in Munich.

Side-Line website knocked down for several days after cyberattack The website of the well known industrial / ebm / gothic music magazine Side-Line ( http://www.side-line.com/ ) has been knocked down for several days after a serious cyberattack on Tuesday morning. The site was attacked from Tuesday morning (August 28th) on and finally collapsed at 10.30 AM (CET) due to a denial-of-service attack (DoS attack). Due to the damage caused at the server facility, it took the magazine's technical staff over 48 hours to restore the site and its database. "Luckily enough we have always a backup of all of the Side-Line news and forum data so that relaunching the site did not cause too much damage", says the editor in chief Bernard Van Isacker.- Details

The Norwegian band PostScriptum, which consists of the four musicians Petter K. Skippervold (Vocals), Knut Bjørnar Asphol (Guitars), Arnfinn Stautland (Bass) and Stik L. Vaernes (Drums) will release their first album entitled ‘Prophet:Deny’ this September.Their music can be described as bright pop/rock with a melancholic and powerful voice. Their musical span ranges from more melancholic to faster songs with hard riffs. The name of the band refers to the Latin term Post Scriptum, which means a sentence or a text written after the signature of a letter.
