It’s been an unbelievable thirteen years since REVOLVERHELD released their debut album - the beginning of a band career that is hard to find nowadays, especially in Germany. Since then, four studio albums have been released, all went into the top ten. Overall, they had an impressive fifteen singles on the charts - of which only three of their last studio album, ‘Immer in Bewegung’, directly entered the top ten. The most exciting moment of the day was probably marked by the album ‘MTV Unplugged in drei Akten’, whose eponymous release catapulted Johannes Strate, Kristoffer Hünecke, Niels Kristian Hansen and Jakob Sinn to their highest ever position in the album charts. The subsequent tour excited over 230,000 enthusiastic spectators. After that, the band would have been granted the announced one year break. At least that was the plan…
KILLING JOKE is the favourite band of all favourite bands. No grunge-size and few metallers who would not refer to the British veterans. Quite a lot of indie rockers and even quite a few Electronica disciples are directly referring to the songs and the elemental force of this band. There are the distinctive vocal style of front man Jaz Coleman, the brute force of their live performances, the novel sound that has shaped the British... In October, KILLING JOKE also tour through Germany as part of their 40th Anniversary World Tour and once again feature the biggest hits like ‘Love Like Blood’, the most obscure songs, the latest hits and pieces from all creative periods.
BLACK STONE CHERRY are set to release their sixth studio album, 'Family Tree' via Mascot Records/ Mascot Label Group on 20th April 2018. Burnin’, the first musical taste of the new collection is available today, along with the ability to pre-order the release in various physical and digital formats. 'Family Tree' is the much-anticipated follow up to 2016’s Kentucky, which debuted at #5 on the Official UK Album Chart. Like Kentucky, BLACK STONE CHERRY opted to self-produce and track Family Tree at David Barrick's Barrick Recording in Glasgow, KY, the same studio where the four-piece recorded their eponymous debut. BSC also opted to not over-rehearse upfront of the album sessions, instead preferring the immediacy and spontaneity of in-the-moment takes. The band also entrusted frontman Chris Robertson to mix the songs, which perfectly fit the loose, creative process that birthed Family Tree.
On 8th June 2018, all-rounder Konstantin Gropper aka GET WELL SOON will release his fifth studio album ‘The Horror’ via Caroline International. First musical impressions will be heard in the next weeks. Only two years ago, Gropper released his acclaimed album ‘Love’, with which he managed to climb to #16 on the German charts. Now he is back - with a record that is even more orchestral than the previous one. Even more personal and a little scary, but of course no less great.
