German / Norwegian symphonic metal band LEAVES' EYES are the special guests to the KAMELOT European Tour 2010. Hot off their latest release "Njord" Leaves' Eyes will finalize this amazing package. French prog band ADAGIO was already confirmed. Kamelot toured with Leaves' Eyes before in 2007 though Europe (report). Kamelot is currently working on their new album, expected in the early 2010. With each album the fan base is growing more and more.

Liv Kristine (LEAVES' EYES): "I am really looking forward to tour with KAMELOT again! The last tours with KAMELOT were very successful for both bands and the friendship between the bands is great! Being on the road with other Norwegians is of course always an honour and pleasure for me! Roy is both an excellent singer and a fine person."

Swedish band KATATONIA announced their European tour. "Night Is The New Day" is the long-awaited new studio album. It was recorded throughout July 2009 and was co-produced, engineered and mixed by David Castillo. A continuation of the heaviness, depth and atmosphere of their previous album. Cover art once again comes courtesy of Travis Smith (Katatonia, Opeth, Novembre) and continues the stylistic identity established so effectively since "The Great Cold Distance".

KATATONIA's new video, "Day And Then The Shade", can be viewed here. The clip was directed by Lasse Hoile, who has previously worked with OPETH and PORCUPINE TREE, among others. The song comes off the band's eighth studio album, "Night Is The New Day", which sold around 2,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

After the first edition of him Vintage Electronics Festival in January pleased all in attendance and left them with happy faces, having just witnessed electronic veterans CLICK CLICK, VOMITO NEGRO and NO MORE., the question whether or not there would be a next festival became completely redundant. For the next edition, no other than the Swedish Electro/New Wave formation TWICE A MAN whose song ‘Decay’ was to become an evergreen in dark scene clubs and saves any further introduction will be headlining the event. Support, if you’d like to call it that way, will be a legend of the Electro genre: PORTION CONTROL from London! With their then-new way of working with samples they were influential for countless bands in the 80s including SKINNY PUPPY.

Until the beginning of the 90s there’ve been lots of bands causing quite a stir in the independent music scene. Already back then England’s NEW MODEL RMY was at the front line of them. Hits like ‘51st State’, ‘Stupid Question’, ‘Vagabonds’, or ‘Purity’ are still very fresh in the minds of those who’ve witnessed that time. While other bands gather in the spotlights of the media and partly do things that’d put others to shame, reports about NEW MODEL ARMY are rare. Like LEVELLERS also NEW MODEL ARMY are using a term dating back to the times of English civil war for their band name.
