Rock Imperium Festival 2023 with Kiss, Deep Purple, Helloween, Europe, Blind Guardian, Skid Row, The Winery Dogs, Lordi, Stratovarius, Elegant Weapons and many more
The very first edition of this wonderful festival has born on Costa del Sol, in a magnificent hills and old castle of Fuengirola. It’s a very international Spanish city, inhabited with foreigners from northern countries... with an grand opening from WARDRUNA’s Viking motives played live! Rock monsters like SCORPIONS, RAINBOW, EUROPE, UFO, OPETH, TARJA, DARK TRANQUILITY, ANGELUS APATRIDA and around 30 more bands attracted dozens of thousands of persons from all over the world... a music gem seekers of different ages, they filled this small city with their happiness and joy. This is how it started: before the COVID and the world crisis. Later the festival has moved to Cartagena, an ancient city on the coast of Murcia region...
With absolutely insane line-up, the second edition was a grand show in a very friendly and atmospheric place in Southeast Spain. Parque El Batel, the stage where the Rock Imperium happens, seems to be a place perfectly built for such kind of festivals. Great views and spacious wide green area, nicely splinted and organized for hosting infinite crowds of music lovers... And the third edition of Rock Imperium is being prepared for 2023 in the same place, but would be prolonged to three days (+opening evening), with even wider area and improved infrastructure, better prepared for hosting such grand events!
The biggest surprise for this year would be a full-time performance of KISS with their final tour, and the unique performance of DEEP PURPLE! Also list of headliners consists of HELLOWEEN and EUROPE. BLIND GUARDIAN, LORDI and SKID ROW would perform their set also during the festival! There are also a bunch of calmer Progressive Rock bands like SOEN and EVERGREY appearing on the stage in this summer’s edition of Rock Imperium. In total performances of 50+ bands are planned.
The performance schedule begins at around lunch and lasts till 2:00-3:00 after midnight, at the same time almost during the whole day there are performing two bands simultaneously, while the third stage is being prepared for the third band’s performance. The flexible entrance system allows you to leave and re-enter the area anytime, plan the movements between the three active stages and do not miss your favourite artist. Food court with very wide range of food also serves the customers anytime during the day, so you don’t need to be worried about feeling hungry or thirsty.
Traditionally promoter organizes special schedule that provides a possibilities for visitors to meet their favourite artists and get a personal signatures during bands meet up schedule during the festival. The only surprise still remains unrevealed is the pre-show evening, which is being announced separately closer to the date. On the previous editions it was WARDRUNA and MOONSORROW, and usually that’s a big and nice surprise, we’re sure that something big is being prepared for that pre-show open night.
