Parkbühne Wuhlheide, Berlin, Germany10th, 11th & 12th July 2026
The Cure - “Live Europe 2026” - Support: The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard
Some bands define a genre. Some define an era. THE CURE have done both.
More than four decades after their formation in Crawley, England, Robert Smith and his legendary band remain one of the most influential and beloved acts in alternative music history. Their unique blend of Post-Punk, Gothic Rock, New Wave, Alternative Rock, melancholy, romance, and emotional depth has inspired countless artists while building one of the most devoted fan communities in music.
In July 2026, THE CURE will return to Berlin for three exclusive concerts at the iconic Parkbühne Wuhlheide. Originally announced as two performances, overwhelming demand quickly resulted in a third date being added, underlining the band’s enduring popularity and the anticipation surrounding their return to the German capital. Support on all three evenings will come from Scottish Post-Punk favourites THE TWILIGHT SAD and Irish Alternative outfit JUST MUSTARD.
The current touring cycle follows one of the most significant chapters of the band’s recent history. After years of anticipation, THE CURE finally released ‘Songs Of A Lost World’, their first studio album in sixteen years. The record was met with widespread critical acclaim and demonstrated that Robert Smith’s creative vision remains as compelling and emotionally resonant as ever. Songs such as ‘Alone’, ‘And Nothing Is Forever’, ‘A Fragile Thing’, and ‘Endsong’ have already become fan favourites and have seamlessly integrated into the band’s live performances.
Yet the remarkable thing about THE CURE is that they never rely solely on nostalgia. While many fans naturally arrive hoping to hear classics from albums such as ‘Pornography’, ‘Disintegration’, ‘Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me’, ‘Wish’, and ‘Bloodflowers’, the band continues to treat their catalogue as a living body of work rather than a museum piece. Every performance becomes a carefully crafted journey through different phases of their career, balancing new material with timeless favourites.
Recent setlists have featured a stunning mixture of songs spanning more than four decades, including ‘Pictures Of You’, ‘Lovesong’, ‘A Night Like This’, ‘A Forest’, ‘Friday I’m In Love’ and ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. Combined with the newer material from ‘Songs Of A Lost World’, audiences can expect performances lasting well over two hours and showcasing the extraordinary depth of the band’s catalogue.
At the centre of it all remains Robert Smith, one of the most instantly recognisable figures in modern music. His unmistakable voice, distinctive appearance, and deeply personal songwriting have turned him into a cultural icon whose influence extends far beyond the boundaries of Gothic and alternative music. Few artists have managed to articulate themes of love, loss, longing, beauty, and existential uncertainty with such consistency and sincerity.
Berlin itself holds a special connection to THE CURE. Few cities have embraced the band quite as enthusiastically over the decades, and their concerts in the German capital have often become landmark events for fans travelling from across Europe. The Parkbühne Wuhlheide, one of Germany’s most beautiful open-air venues, provides the perfect setting for an evening that promises both emotional intimacy and grand spectacle.
What makes a THE CURE concert so extraordinary is the atmosphere. Whether performing a fragile ballad such as ‘Pictures Of You’ or launching into the hypnotic intensity of ‘A Forest’ and ‘Fascination Street’, the band possesses a unique ability to create a shared emotional experience among thousands of people. Their music feels deeply personal and universally relatable at the same time.
For longtime devotees and newcomers alike, these three Berlin performances promise to be among the highlights of the European concert calendar in 2026.
More than forty years after their beginnings, THE CURE remain a rare phenomenon: a band capable of honouring their past while continuing to create music that feels vital, relevant, and emotionally devastating. Few artists have left such a lasting mark on alternative culture. Fewer still continue to do so with such grace. Berlin is unlikely to witness a more atmospheric, emotional, and unforgettable series of concerts this summer.
