BEARTOOTH have steadily climbed the ranks year after year and have firmly established themselves as one of the hottest Metalcore bands in the world today. Following support tours with ATTACK ATTACK!, OF MICE & MEN, PIERCE THE VEIL, BAD OMENS, and SLIPKNOT, as well as appearances at major festivals including Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Reload Festival, and Download Festival, the band has long since reached headliner status and continues to tour extensively.
Their ever-growing success is reflected not only in increasingly larger venues but also in more than 1.1 billion Spotify streams, with fan favourites such as ‘In Between’, ‘Hated’, ‘Disease’, ‘The Lines’, and ‘Riptide’ leading the way. Through these often deeply personal songs and their diverse musical influences, BEARTOOTH continue to captivate audiences while constantly evolving their sound across their five studio albums released to date.
This September, the band will return to Germany for five headline shows in support of their upcoming album ‘Pure Ecstasy’. Joining them in Frankfurt, Oberhausen, Hanover, Berlin, and Munich will be Canadian Post-Hardcore veterans SILVERSTEIN and rising American Metalcore force KINGDOM OF GIANTS.
Even during his time as the vocalist of ATTACK ATTACK!, Caleb Shomo had already begun writing songs for what would eventually become a new creative outlet - one that stood in stark contrast to the electronic Metalcore sound of his former band, which he left in 2012.
With the release of the ‘Sick’ EP and a record deal with Red Bull Records, Shomo laid the foundation for BEARTOOTH, whose debut album ‘Disgusting’ arrived in 2014. Featuring tracks such as ‘In Between’ and ‘The Lines’, the record firmly established both the band’s identity and Shomo’s new musical direction.
Their sophomore release, ‘Aggressive’, further strengthened BEARTOOTH’s position within the global Metalcore scene, earning chart success in several countries. By the time the band’s third album, ‘Disease’, was released in 2018, BEARTOOTH had become one of the most talked-about names in modern heavy music, building even more momentum through extensive headline tours and appearances at festivals across Europe.
In 2021, the band released ‘Below’, which received widespread critical acclaim. In its review, Kerrang! described Caleb Shomo as “one of the most remarkable songwriters of his generation.”
Their 2023 album ‘The Surface’ continued the band’s remarkable rise while reconnecting with their traditional Metalcore roots. Blending those foundations with influences from Country and Rock, the record showcased a more mature songwriting approach and highlighted the band’s undeniable musical growth.
Now, three years after their latest full-length release, BEARTOOTH are preparing to unveil a new chapter. Their latest single, ‘Free’, embraces the band’s more melodic and introspective side, offering a first glimpse of what to expect from ‘Pure Ecstasy’. Combining Alternative Rock, Metalcore, Country, and Pop into a modern and accessible sound, the upcoming album is set to further cement BEARTOOTH’s status as a globally successful mainstream phenomenon - one that has already reached the level of an international arena headliner, according to Forbes.
