For way over 20 years, Belgian Body Beats Production specializes in concert promotion and to a certain extend, even performing live. With that much of experience it should be easy to pull another decent festival besides the BIM Fest, and that’s exactly what they did in 2009 with the first Body Beats festival. For that first edition they already could come up with a set of big names such as THE NEON JUDGEMENT, PSYCHE or PORTION CONTROL amongst others. The festival met with great reception, so the decision that there would be a second edition wasn’t a hard thing to make. On 1st May 2010, the festival is going to return now with a bang. The headlining slot was given to the cross-over electro-punks of CASSANDRA COMPLEX who will definitely prove they’re still a force to be reckoned with, even after such a long time.
They’ll be preceded by SIGNAL AOUT ’42, a project that doesn’t ring any bells with many though it should, as for the project’s capabilities to uniquely lace classic EBM with dense expanses of atmospheric darkness are quite matchless. The next name’s mere mentioning will make sure all the dance fanatics will stand at attention, for if SPETSNAZ is in the house there’s no standing still. But also lesser known acts like THE SISTERS OF MERCY tribute band BODY ELECTRIC, or the French project BUZZ, who will open the festival, enrich the line-up. The duo’s been away for many decades but will cater for a start you won’t soon forget.
