Lissadell House, Ballinful, Sligo, Eire
31st July and 1st August 2010
Leonard Cohen

On the final day of July this year, a very special thing happens in Ireland. There comes probably one of the most revered and celebrated of modern song smiths to this land of poets - Leonard Cohen. To say that the talents of this man have passed into legend is no exaggeration and his songs have been covered in many genres from folk to rock to even rap as well as featuring in the soundtracks of many films. It's 43 years since his first album was released, but his work has a timeless mastery and mystery to it which can scarcely be surpassed, including songs such as 'Suzanne', 'Sisters of Mercy', 'Famous Blue Raincoat' and the ever lauded 'Hallelujah'.

Immortalised in poetry by W.B Yeats, the concerts take place at historic Lisadell House, an outstandingly beautiful country house in Sligo, lovingly restored and now a family home. It's a rare chance to hear one of the most individual and influential songwriters of the 20th century in a stunning venue and should not be missed. Tickets are available form all Ticketmaster outlets priced from €80.00 - €115.00
