Coppelius - Konzertante Reise zum Ruhme des Zinnober
Last year at about the same time, the unusual Berlin based band COMMELIUS, which plays Metal on percussion, contrabass, cello and clarinet, aroused enthusiasm with their appearance to all listeners in Munich. The concert was an amusing mixture of theatre and music. COPPELIUS is a band that tries to produce a fictive identity very successfully: There is no information about foundation year and true identity of the members. According to their homepage, for example, COPPELIUS is a band from the 19th century!
After the album ‘Time-Zeit’ in 2007 and ‘Tumult’ in 2009, the release of their newest work ‘Zinnober’ will become reality later this year. On 11th of December 2010 COPPELIUS will take again on an exciting time trip in the Backstage in Munich.
