With the release of their successful album ‘Blind Camera’, Berlin-based band ZERAPHINE around Sven Friedrich reached the crossroads and had to decide whether they’d go for a deal with a major label or an independent one. The answer to the decision was: Neither the one nor the other. They opted for founding their own label together with long-time producer Tommy Hein and the first release was their album ‘Still’ in 2006. The next album was not released before 2010.
But ‘Whiteout’ was well worth the wait, bringing forth all the bands strength and a few experimental vibes. Many of the songs already have passed the live test and ‘Louisa’ or ‘I Will Be There’ should sound familiar and they worked really well on many festivals by now, as they’ll do in then clubs which ZERAPHINE will start to pay a visit soon. On 2nd October that will be Matrix in Bochum and it’s surely going to be a fun evening.
