It’s hard to break down the sound of Danish Lau Højen (Vocals, Guitar), Søren Balsner (Bass, Synths) and Morten Thorhauge (Drums) to a simple formula. Just imagine your favourite rock band living in common law marriage with MUSE and RADIOHEAD and 9 months late a baby is given birth to. That is CARPARK NORTH, or to put it with the band’s words: “’Carpark’ just sounds like rock to us. Metallic like old cars in a car park; and ‘North’ reminds of northern lights, electronics and snow. Thus, CARPARK NORTH translates with “Electro Rock” Following huge success in their native Denmark with lots of awards and sold-out arenas, the trio sets out to conquer the rest of the world just as well.In last year’s December, the band signed with Sony Music Sweden. The start of the victory march through Europe is scheduled for September. That’s when the new album ‘Lost’ will be released over here. The first harbinger coming in the shape of the single ‘Just Human’, the band recycled the killer hook line of their song ‘Human’ from 2005 for, and crafted a whole new song around it. The new material already had its successful live debut at the “Alterna Stage” at German Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals.
