‘The Dirt’ is an album that delivers on the promise of return of the Swedish veterans POUPPEE FABRIKK (f. 1987) to its roots with its repetitive bass lines, hard beats, bad ass attitude with punk spirit – simply a good old school EBM when this band stood next to its other pioneers – namely DAF and NITZER EBB. This here is the standard edition but obviously the enhanced edition digs into some more of the older material with the contemporary tempering appropriately administered.
Conclusion: An inspiration still, a must have both for fans new to the style or the old fuckers who rejoiced that EBM still lives and breathes like hell as soon as they heard the first song of this greatness.
