Review Flash

To explain what Arjen Anthony Lucassen is doing musically on the AYREON records is mildly put near to impossible, simply said he does it all he records everything for the albums and conceives the concepts for the records, then he customizes songs to the voices of the singers he intends to use for the material. Multi-Instrumentalist Arjen Lucassen is a musical genius in my book. Born in 1960 he first played in the band BODINE and never stopped making music till today. He recorded eight studio albums with his project AYREON, two records with STARONE not to mention his other projects GUILT MACHINE and STREAM OF PASSION. His new album ‘The Theory of Everything’ is the best AYREON material I listened to since ‘Into the Electric Castle’ not to say that the records between this two are weak but ‘Into the Electric Castle’ opened me up for everything progressive so I might be a bit biased when it comes to this special record.

Conclusion: At the end of this short recapitulation I will give you the essential tip to just buy this epic record. If you are into progressive music at all you will most likely adore this piece of music from the intro to the end.
