Mono Inc., [Soon]
Currently, things couldn’t go any better for MONO INC. They had a successful festival summer and a Top 10 chart placement of their new EP ‘Comedown' at German Alternative Charts. But there’s no time for resting for this band even as the year’s end is coming closer. Quite the contrary… Besides working on their new studio album, slated for release in the first half of 2011, there’s still a tour running. For MONO INC. that means “Out of the studio, up on stage. The “Voices of Doom” tour had its start at Bochum’s Matrix.

Solitary Experiments, f.o.d
I drove to Krefeld right after finishing my work at the office on that Friday. The venue is really close to my home, so that I could accept partying hard. The show in Krefeld was literally planned to take place on the 26th March, 2010, but it was cancelled for a chemical accident in the neighbourhood which caused that the venue was closed. So the concert was postponed to the 24th September, 2010. But the fans took advantage from this delay because SOLITARY EXPERIMENTS are going to present many songs from the actual record ‘The Eye Of The Beholder’, as well as a mixed bag of songs from previous releases. On the gig they’ll be supported by the guys of f.o.d.

MPS Speyer: Saltatio Mortis, Metusa, Schelmisch, Vermaledayt, Rapalje
In 1994, a gentleman by the name of Edwin Ball started a very special thing. It occurred to him to harness the vast love affair that Germany has with the Middle Ages and create an event that would brings fans and aficionados together to celebrate their interest, with stalls, markets, role play, spectacle and bands. As it happens it was a damned good idea and his 'Mittelalter Phantasie Spectaculums' (Medieval Fantasy Spectaculars) have grown in both number and stature ever since until they are a really fun, exciting and gigantic affair.

Phoenix Effect
Again my friend and I found ourselves in Helsinki and again we got a chance to enjoy a concert but this time of a local rock act called PHOENIX EFFECT. This young promising formation originally was founded as a solo project of Janne Kärkkäinen but a bit later three no less talented musicians joined him and then that solo project turned into a quartet. The release of the debut work entitled ‘Cyanide Skies’ in 2009 helped the band to win a reputation as an interesting phenomenon on the modern rock scene. The eponymous sophomore album is planned to be released on the 13th of October while the gig on the 22nd of September was called “sneak preview” yet we could appreciate all the songs off the forthcoming creation. PHOENIX EFFECT is Janne Kärkkäinen (vocals, guitar), Pyry Nikkilä (guitar), Lauri Hämäläinen (bass, backing vocals) and Anton Laurila (drums). http://www.phoenixeffect.fi/ / http://www.myspace.com/phoenixeffectmusic
