Paradise Lost, Orphaned Land and Society 1
Being a Paradise Lost Fan for 9 years now, I just couldn’t wait for their upcoming tour after the release of their 10th album, simply called “Paradise Lost”. Having a new drummer, Jeff Singer, who is not a stranger for rock fans as he has toured already with bands like “Megadeth”, “Helloween”, “Running Wild”, “Skylad” and more… let’s see what to expect. Paradise Lost had two support bands which I didn’t know before: Society 1 and Orphaned Land.

Nemesea
Tonights’show started fairly late, around 22.30, because Nemesea were doing this gig without a supportband. They have been touring as a supportband for Afer Forever for over one year and have made a huge progression along the way. After the release of their very succesful debut ‘Mana’in november 2004, the band have now started to tour on their own.

Umbra et Imago
After a long day in a very warm car we arrived at the Festhallen in Kahrslruhe. Umbra et Imago fans had gathered in an even warmer venue to see their favourite band. The hall seemed a bit big for the amount of people visiting this concert but there was a nice calm and friendly atmosphere. The ladies from the merchandise stand hardly got a rest for everybody was looking at and buying the t-shirts, bags, necklaces and albums of Umbra et Imago.

Within Temptation

Apart from a Dutch party rock band ‘Band zonder Banaan’ (Band without a banana) and the ever present DJ’s the people were treated with a concert of the popular gothic rock band Within Temptation.

Evergrey and James LaBrie
When I walked in the diversity of people surprised me. From kids with Dream Theater shirts to the older ‘rocker’ with his jeans and old band shirt. They were all there tonight to see the new solo tour from James Labrie. The fact that it wasn’t sold out didn’t mean that the atmosphere was not good. All those people had a lot of fun for more than two hours.
