Dynamo, Eindhoven, the NetherlandsOctober 29th 2005
One Inch Men, Feed Forward, Treadstone 71, Xenomorph, Sun Caged, Seraphique, Prostitute Disfigurement, Up The Irons
This Saturday I went to the opening festival of the Dynamo venue, because I was invited by their promoter Joyce. Eight Dutch metal bands from different metal genres would perform in two parts of the venue; the basement where the cafe is and a concert hall that can hold about 500 people. We arrived an hour early so we first sought a café in the sun where Joyce joined us for a while, before we went back to the venue to see the first bands.

Nemesea day report
June 17th 2005
Because the trains didn’t ride on June 17th, I decided to go to Groningen at the day before and I spent the night at my friend’s place. The following day, Sonny, bass guitarist of Nemesea would pick me up at the train station of Groningen to go to the first concert of the day the band had, which was at the No Limits Event in Emmen. Nemesea would be the support act of Within Temptation.
We drove to Assen, where we would meet the rest of the band who’d loaded the van with the stuff gathered at Chris’ place (the drummer) and we arrived when they’d just finished. Chris drove along with Sonny and me, whereas Manda (vocalist), Berto (keys), Martijn and Hendrik-Jan (guitarists) plus their crew were seated in the bus.

Seven New Songs by Depeche Mode In A Rushby Thomas Vänker of Intro magazine, translated by Niggels Uhlenbruch
Monday, 4th of July , 5:27 pm, London: A quick handshake by Mute boss Daniel Miller and here we go, deeper into what looked like a normal English house from outside. In fact it´s rather one of these private clubs, of which folks like us only hear about from the tabloids, when Boris Becker gets foisted yet another child upon him (okay, that happened actually in a high-end restaurant but you get the picture, don’t you?) or when some banker gets arrested red-handedly because of some sort of dubious financial transaction.
Today the ground floor of this salacious and beautiful club (a harmonic mix of British conservatism and Greek-ish interior design and art) is in the hands of the most important band in the world – no, not Kiss, I´m talking about Depeche Mode!

SAMA – Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards 2005
The history of SAMA started in 1998 as SEMA (Swedish Electronic Music Awards). First only a Swedish award for electronic music, SAMA expanded from Sweden to cover the rest of Scandinavia and more styles of alternative music, even though electronic music is still the main issue. The ceremony was held like every year in Gothenburg. Besides the ceremony itself there were also 12 bands performing and some DJ sets happening on 3 stages - this year it was the first time they had an outdoor stage, called the Garden Stage besides the Main Stage and the Restaurant Stage. The Swedish “Zero” magazine announces the 4 nominees in each category… this year for the first time also in the category “Best club/festival”. The winners are elected by the audience via the website. www.sama.mu
