Album Review

CONSCIENCE is Rüdiger Illg's personal project. He started this project back in 1991 and until now he has released several tapes and CDs. His latest album was released in April on the label Echozone and the genre of the album is simply Synth-Pop. About the songs and the sound of the album unfortunately the result is very poor. The songs are very simple and uninspired with below average vocals; the sound is not good at all and is closer to demo sound than sound for an album. There are some nice ideas and some catchy choruses but this is not enough to save the album. What really makes me wonder is that Rudiger is making music for more than twenty years and he should know how to make good songs with good sound. Also I think a record label like Echozone, which is not a small label and also is not an inexperienced label, should check an album before the release and advice the band or the artist how to improve their sound. I don't like to write bad reviews but unfortunately I can't find something good in this album. I hope the next album to be much better than this one and to make me write a great review.
