Album Review

On 13th April, COMPLETE CONTROL PRODUCITONS release with GUILT TRIP and their new piece ‘Feed The Fire’ a new and satisfying experience from the first to the last track. ‘Feed The Fire’ is the fourth release from the Swedish duo Karl Lindberg and Magnus Nilsson after their debut album ‘Chirurgie Esthetique’ in the early 90s. A real great introduction is ‘Headplate’ with excellent beats and rousing vocals reveal the different art from this album. ‘Breathe’ follows right behind, produce a real creative and enticing peace. Another fantastical but real world, a tingling on your skin creeps up straight to the brain. ‘Inanimate’ creates a point of view to reconsider the cruelty of modernity under the guise of the Israeli – Palestinian conflict.

Harsh sound, cruel vocals and near surreal sound passages follow right thereafter with other tracks and you would only be released after the last sound after the closing part. They use simple but addictive beats and bass lines completed with harsh vocals and sound switching back and forth between electro – industrial and EBM components. GUILT TRIP produce a damn good album throughout with razor-sharp industrial parts pointed with electronic agitation. This CD is very melodic and dance friendly but also carries a message that should be heard. It is rough and kind, it’s dry and comfortable; it’s authentic and weird also a must for each fan. They don’t have to fear the comparison to SKINNY PUPPY or other bands like them, producing a classical retro-industrial album worthy to be heard more than once.
