When German musician Jasper März put up some songs into the net it wasn’t with the intention of rousing lots of attention but to keep friends who’re interested in his music in the loop. But within no time the ‘HDL Song’ gained 1.7 Mio clicks and eventually Major label Ariola approached him with a record deal and now the ‘HDL Song’ is close to its single release and the album ‘Neidlos’ will be put out on 15th May.
The title song I referred to above is JASPER’s ironic payoff with the shortcut hype on the internet packed in a sonic carpet of light-footed drums and acoustic guitars. The second track ‘Nördlich’ takes an entirely different direction into the melancholic side of life and expresses both with its melodies and vocals at end; the closing of a door and the unfolding of a path that leads away from this place. No beats accompany this melancholy. This tune’s only filled with the reflective vocals of JASPER, his companion the acoustic guitar and a piano that plays a sorrowful melody. ‘Merschwein Poldi’ is the last track on the single and spreads the feeling of having to do something because an inner urge tells you it’s necessary to find out something about yourself to show you who you are even if it means to leave loved persons behind. It’s a mellow song that is gently pushed by discreet drum accents.
JASPER is one of those appearances in the music business you wish to have a long and successful career. His music’s honest, straight from the heart and free from any trash and should be heard by as many people as possible. Oh, I might add that as an additional tread the single has in stock for you the video clip to the title track as well, so if that’s not a reason to definitely buy it now then what is?
