Two years later, ‘Attics to Eden’ was brought forth after ‘From them, through us, to you’ had done enough damage during its release in 2007. Since then alternative hardcore rockers, MADINA LAKE has made a name for themselves constantly touring around the globe down to writing brand new material for all to enjoy just as before. But this time around ‘Attics to Eden’ is a follow-up release that's much different from the band's debut. Twelve tracks received and soon thrown away as this album sounds flat and effortlessly all around, the music sounds scratchy and tends to repeat itself over and over at various times throughout the album. Some tunes that are even worth mention include ‘Legends’, ‘Through the Pain’ and ‘Silent Voices Kill’.
The instrumental parts draw in the music well but soon falls out of placement, causing the music to overlap sounding too much of the same tone. Not being able to pick up where it left off on its previous counterpart. Vocals and lyrics tend to mash up against one another causing the music to erupt even more making it sound more bitter and effortless. MADINA LAKE has made an album no doubt about that, but this follow-up does not compare to their first accomplishment not by a long shot. The music is out of place and just doesn’t pick up the pace as it once did.
