Omnia - Earth Warrior Tour
Based in the Netherlands, OMNIA describes its style as Neo-Celtic Pagan Folk so the band members play different kinds of instruments typical for folk and sing in English, Welsh, Breton, Latin, Hindi and some other languages. With a new album released in spring, they are stopping now in Germany to present it live after they had already played shows in i.e. Poland, USA and Mexico. Lots of people were heading to Bochum and the queue outside was long… and the venue packed and hot!

Synthwest with Sinestar, Kira & Low Tide Theory
Not long ago some friends of the Synth Pop/ Electronic music were discussing on the Facebook chat how amazing it would be if it was possible to have a Synth Pop event in the SouthWest of the UK, where local bands can perform in order to get more attention. Quickly a Facebook group was founded in order to spread the word and get connected. Despite a lot of unforeseen problems the founder of the SynthWest group made it to organise the first concert event with three fine electronic bands. Actually another venue was booked but the owner made a double booking so that the organisers had to find an alternative. But that meant also that they had to lower their sights referred to the venue itself as well as to the given technical equipment including the lights. The event took place in a separate room downstairs of a restaurant which looked quite cosy and surely is perfect for a family party with a bit of Karaoke but not for concerts. At least the size of the venue fitted well with a capacity of estimated 90 people as for the first event you cannot expect to be sold out.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Support: Monster Truck
SLASH is a name that didn’t need an introduction if you lived during late 80s and early 90s – GUNS N’ROSES was blasting out from radios and stereos; it wasn’t just the many girls who were in love with Axl Rose and/or SLASH they seemed to hit it off with a large audience. He’s bringing out second solo album featuring vocalist Myles Kennedy (ALTER BRIDGE) and THE CONSPIRATORS. The album is called ‘World On Fire’ and was out in September 2014. After his US tour, the artist came to Germany for only two shows. So it was expected that both shows were sold-out and the Cologne Palladium was really packed, already when support act MONSTER TRUCK entered the stage.

Combichrist & William Control
Tuesday evening, 7.30 pm. The doors were already open and I was expecting a lot of people being there for COMBICHRIST. It was nothing like that. While waiting for the band to perform there were about 20 people there. Yeah, I was used to more people wanting to see Andy LaPlegua and his mates live. I remembered waiting in line even when it was cold outside. This time it was nothing like that. But fortunately more people arrived soon so that the jokes about getting a private show were blown away.
