Anathema & Mother’s Cake
Right after releasing their new record ‘Distant Satellites’, being already the 10th album of the band, ANATHEMA are presenting their album live in Europe. It´s time for progressive metal! The show on that day, the first day of Cologne carnival session (luckily there only were “normal” people), was sold-out. And the audience was eager to see ANATHEMA. But first, there was special guest MOTHER’S CAKE.

Zola Jesus & Black Asteroid
After her celebrated debut ‘Versions’, ZOLA JESUS is back on tour to present her new album ‘Taiga’. Also after her change from Sacred Bones to Mute Records, the US-American singer sticks to her Goth-Pop sound. The venue in Cologne was rather small, but a good crowd gathered to see the artist. The evening was opened by DJ act BLACK ASTEROID.

Gothic meets Klassik Day 1 with Unzucht, Solitary Experiments, Suicide Commando, Front Line Assembly & Mono Inc.
Leipzig and Gothic meets Klassik have started a huge love story years ago. Today, I couldn’t imagine the fall without this kind of festival. Born out of an interesting idea, Gothic meets Klassik attracts a lot of fans from near and far every time. And it was like this this time too. When I showed up a lot of black dressed people where waiting in line to get inside of Haus Auensee to see their beloved favourite band(s). I have never seen such a long queue in front of Haus Auensee and I have been there a lot of times to see band performing.

Radical Face + Stu Larsen
It’s the 3rd November and normally at this time we have a typical autumn evening with cold temperatures, rain, wind and leaves falling off the trees, perfect for a concert like this from RADICAL FACE. But the weather countered all our habits. It was warm and dry. The venue opened at 7pm; but most of the people still waited outside far a warming up beer or a cigarette. With a capacity of about 1,000 people, the Kesselhaus, situated in the heart of the Kulturbrauerei, was almost sold out. At 8pm on time the opening act started to perform.

Wayne Hussey
Does this man really need an introduction? Perhaps only for those too young to remember that Wayne Hussey´s THE MISSION were once one of the biggest acts in the UK with hits as 'Butterfly On The Wheel', 'Deliverance' or 'Beyond The Pale'. Following his departure from THE SISTERS OF MERCY, in which Hussey was the guitarist, he founded THE MISSION together with bass player Craig Adams who left the SISTERS at the same time as Hussey.
