10 years POPoNAUT with Cryo, Mind.In.A.Box, De/Vision & Mesh
POPoNAUT, you specialised ticket and music shop for Synth Pop, invited the lovers of the Electronic music to celebrate their 10th anniversary on this evening at the Werk II in Leipzig. Heiko Schröder and Sebastian Stolle of POPoNAUT invited four of their favourite bands as there were: Synth Pop legends MESH from England and DE/VISION from Germany, supported by the Austrian sound explorers called MIND.IN.A.BOX and the Swedish electro project CRYO to make this special evening a memorable one. Thus it is no wonder that this concert event was sold out and 500 people showed up.

Huntress, Battlecross, Purest of Pain
American heavy metal band HUNTRESS has hit the stage at venue 013 several times before and each time with great success. As support of DRAGONFORCE and LAMB OF GOD, the band showed the Dutch audience what they’re made of. After ‘Spell Eater’ (2012) and ‘Starbound Beast’ (2013) HUNTRESS took their inspiration back into the studio for another album, of which the result can be heard this evening. BATTLECROSS recently signed with Metal Blade records. This trash metal band also left its mark in the scene touring with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, IN FLAMES and HATEBREED. Their third album ‘War of Will’ was released in 2013 and named as one of the best modern metal albums. Support will be taken care of by Dutch band PUREST OF PAIN.

Hyne at 48h Wilhelmsburg Festival
That was a great evening! THE Stoner band from Hamburg really rocked the night. HYNE were performing in the frame of 48h Wilhelmsburg, a festival, specifically for Hamburg, and to be more specific: here occur only bands that are related to the Elbe islands.

The National & St. Vincent
At the Tanzbrunnen, there has to be silence sharp at 22:00. But before… before there can be noise, especially if it is as well sounding as the music of US-American Indie / Alternative institution THE NATIONAL from the Big Apple, being founded in 1999. Since Matt Berninger and his companions did not come alone to the metropolis at the Rhine River, beginning of the concert evening was very early to give the support act ST. VINCENT enough time for their set.

Sivert Høyem & Mark Lotterman
Before pursuing a successful solo career, Sivert Høyem became known as the front man of rock band MADRUGADA, one of the biggest Norwegian rock bands. His musical style can best be described as dark and melancholic. In March 2014, Sivert releases his 5th solo album ‘Endless love’ which will be promoted by a European tour. Dutch fans get no less than three opportunities to see Sivert Høyem with his band in June in Groningen, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Reflections of Darkness took the opportunity to check out his concert in the city of Rotterdam.
