Shinedown, Halestorm, Liberty Lies
Although I could hardly imagine the concert would be sold out on a Monday night, there was a big line outside the venue. Listening to the buzz of fans around me, I learned that some of them didn’t come to see headliner SHINEDOWN, but drove all the way specifically for HALESTORM. After freezing my toes off for about 45 minutes I finally made it in, trying to quickly get the feeling back in my hands to start photographing.

VNV Nation & Destroid
2011 was probably VNV NATION's most successful year. The album ‘Automatic’ was selling like the best thing since sliced bread and even went Top 10 in the German album charts - the official sales chart, mind you, not some iffy Dance or Alternative charts! The respective tour sold out venues across the globe, so it's no surprise that VNV NATION use their success to full capacity by adding a few more European shows in early 2012.

Guano Apes, Alpha Academy
Although I couldn’t really get used to the new GUANO APES sound on their latest album ‘Bel Air’, I was still looking pretty much forward to seeing them in a live show. To my surprise, it wasn’t fully sold out (only NL show) but still the venue was nicely crowded for a Sunday evening. Support tonight is taken care of by the German rock band ALPHA ACADEMY.

Dream Theater & Periphery
It was fucking cold on that February evening, when DREAM THEATER were calling to Düsseldorf. Many fans followed the call and big jams before entering finally the parking were proof of the popularity of the band. Together with label mates PERIPHERY, the band was caring for an evening of fine progressive music.
