Philipshalle, Düsseldorf, Germany
26th June 2007
Placebo, Satellite Party, Howling Bells
Every album was a little bit more successful than the one before. All in all it took 10 years to reach the top. PLACEBO’s latest album ‘Meds’ was released 1.5 years ago and now they were ready to present the new songs also to their German fans. The Philipshalle wasn’t sold out, but very well filled and the audience was hot for PLACEBO. Everyone needed patience, because there were two support acts and PLACEBO didn’t enter the stage before 9.45 p.m.

30th June 2007
Aerosmith, Toto, Europe, Riders On The Storm, Steve Vai, Rodger Hodgson, Scorpions, Outlaws, Thin Lizzy, INXS, Tesla
Arrow Classic Rock had a lot to celebrate this day. First of all it was an anniversary because it was the fifth Arrow Rock Festival. It was the first time that it took place at the festival area in Biddinghuizen. This is a larger then the former festival area and so were the names attending. Then there was another reason to party. This was the day that Arrow Classic Rock Radio went on FM radio. There was a little rain but nothing could spoil the fun for all the rockers attending this rocking festival. When arriving at the festival area the festival had already started. It was quite busy by that time and it was remarkable that this year there were many young people. When walking you could smell the wood chips on the floor which were there to make the ground firmer. There were two large stages and one small, more intimate stage.

Bochum Total: Metallspürhunde, Xandria, Faun, Rotersand, Secret Discovery, Staubkind, Jesus on Extasy, In strict Confidence, Das Ich, Purwien, Escape with Romeo
The 22nd Bochum Total took place from 21st to 24th June under the motto “Celebrate the Countdown”. Besides 66 bands on four stages, the city festival also offered a lot of different food and drinks; but music was again the main issue. The very best thing with this festival is that you can see all the bands for free. Bochum Total is a festival that presents progressive and original music through all genres not only presenting big names but is also a platform for musical experiments. During the last years, bands like DONOTS, WIR SIND HELDEN, OOMPH!, APOPTYGMA BERZERK, MIA or DIE HAPPY were playing there. Further more the festival gives new bands from the region a chance to perform live in front of a big audience. Bochum Total is the biggest European music festival. During the last years the amount of visitors increased steadily, so there were counted between 650,000 and 850,000 visitors in the last 3 years each.

We wanted to get their early so we wouldn't miss SABATON, the first band, which the female side of things said she found to be quite entertaining. We got through painlessly, I got my coffee and we saw the band.
