SQY Rocking Team, Dirk Diggler
In Plato in Helmond a wide range of people has gathered for the Hard & Heavy X-mas Party, which is organised by SQY Rocking Team, headliner of the evening, although not playing last. The audience ranges from the first hour fans of SQY, in their mid-thirthies, to local adolescents interested in a heavy christmas eve. Tonight is a special occasion, since it’s not only a christmas but also a farewell party for SQY’s bass player Joris Le Clerq. When we arrive parts of the audience are already quite drunk - perhaps due to the free beer available on the busses that took them to Helmond? (Great service by the way, getting there and back home on a bus for only 7,50 euros. More gigs should have this accomodation). On arrival Alter Ego X has already performed, Dirk Diggler, the second band of the evening, is about kick off. Due to circumstances we are not able to see the last band, Imitallica, either.

After Forever meets Orpheus
This was one of those special concerts this year I did not want to miss. Though I wasn’t the only one I had expected a bigger crowd. This was not a sold out concert. Those who weren’t there have missed a special evening, one of the best Dutch gothic metal bands performing in one of the best venues of the Netherlands with a complete orchestra!

Auracle, Yobbo!
On the day after x-mas most people have a day off with more family routine, dinners and other boring stuff. The lucky ones who broke away from that could go to Den Bosch to see a small festival for emerging 'local' bands. Arriving a bit late the first two bands of the night had already finished but after all it was the headliner which we wanted to review anyway.

When we arrived at the Boerderij in Zoetermeer there was already a long line waiting. They were all awaiting their favorite band: Mostly Autumn.

Autumn and Nemesea
The dark nights before Christmas are always a bit hard: there are too many people searching for the perfect christmas present. Luckily there is the 'Vera' with a warm atmosphere. Soon it is crowded in the venue, a good sign.
