“Dear Unheilig fans, I thank you all from my heart for the many get-well wishes, which helped me through this inconvenient time. After I knew, that I wouldn’t be able to play the upcoming concerts, you were all looking forward to and I had to fully retreat to get well again, I’ve always asked myself “Why am I getting sick right now?”. I was angry about myself because I couldn’t fulfil the expectations and because I was afraid to disappoint you all. The uncertainty and the question, what would happen now and how it would go on from here, have been omnipresent for me. But then something really special happened. I received thousands of E-Mails and countless letters from you, in which you showed me understanding and get-well wishes. You wrote in which situations the music helped you and that you would now be there for me and give me all the time in the world to get well again. I can’t find the right words, how beautiful and important it is for me, what you’ve done in this very moment. Every single one of you made my small world a little bit better and gave me hope, trust and security. You gave me the feeling not to be alone. I find that beautiful and I will never forget that. I’m looking forward to the moment, we all meet again. I will definitely play the shows in Spain and I’m looking forward to the next concerts.
