The Amphi Festival is growing nearer. Only a few weeks, until Cologne’s Tanzbrunnen will open its gates for the 5th Amphi Festival inviting you to the dark family gathering of the year, with 34 live acts on 2 stages. Hence we are glad to present you the final band for this year’s line-up and the first details about the supporting-programme: Mono Inc.
It’s done! The Amphi Festival 2009 is finally complete: Mono Inc., who recently caught attention by supporting Subway to Sally on their latest tour, has filled the final programme slot. The latest album of the shootings stars from Hamburg, ‘Pain, Love and Poetry’, offers a tremendous amount power and great hits, by which the quartet takes aim on Sunday 19th July 2009, to put you into the groove, for the second half of the festival.

Social Program at the Theater
As previously announced, the Theater am Tanzbrunnen will play a new role at the Amphi Festival this year. Besides using the theatre as chill-out area, you can expect interesting movie screenings, DVD presentations and album pre-listening sessions throughout the days. Among others, we show you recent live DVD’s of DEINE LAKAIEN, FUNKER VOGT, GARDEN OF DELIGHT, L´ÂME IMMORTELLE and KLAUS SCHULZE/LISA GERRARD, as well as indie-movies like KEVIN – INTEGRATION EINES MYTHOS and the exciting time-travel opus OPERATION ZEITSTURM, produced and acted by WELLE:ERDBALL.
In addition to that the theatre will host special pre-listening session, for you to catch a sneak peak at the upcoming albums of LEAVES´ EYES and SALTATIO MORTIS, before the evening-bell rings for the DJs, to fire up the engines of the official after show parties, roaring on both festival days. Therefore a great varying line-up is waiting for you, leaving no wishes unfulfilled:
