Dear Amphi fans,
you are absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for a phantastic weekend at the V. Amphi Festival 2009 - The Orkus Open Air. The first jubilee is over and it could not have been more exciting. Who would have expected Feindflug to literally play the plaster from the Rheinparkhalle´s ceiling! Fortunately no one got hurt when that 2m² sized part fell on the stage and bursted into tiny bits. Still the facility manager of the Rheinparkhalle had to close the venue for security matters.

By the quick and reasonal response, as well as the selfless commitment of the entire crew, it was acieved to move the indoor-stage in two hours from the Rheinparkhalle to the Theater am Tanzbrunnen, where not only the remaining show of the band Laibach was able to take place around 23:45 o’clock, but also the complete indoor-program for Sunday, without any losses. We really want to thank you for your kind understanding and patience, that gave us the opportunity to still offer you the best possible Festival experience!
While the countless impressions of the weekend are waiting to be digested, thoughts are circling around the wonderful weekend at the Tanzbrunnen all the time, from which everyone took his own personal highlight. Against all forecasts also the weather held on most of the time and made up for its minor rain showers with sunshine and pleasant temperatures around 20° Celsius.
At this point we want to expressly thank all visitors, media partners, presentators, dj´s and bands, as well as the entire staff behind the scenes, contributing their part to the successful festival. Thank you for your unbelievable faith and support by which 13.000 people per festival day were able to celebrate a gigantic, moody and always peaceful party with 34 bands on two stages.
As always your feedback is very important for us. Thus we give you the opportunity to take part in our annual visitor poll for the festival 2009 at www.amphi-festival.de. Beside your band wishes for next year, we will also take your feedback, concerning organizational matters, into consideration for the festival 2010. In good tradition there will be a raffle of attractive prices among all participants. The winners will be notified by e-mail!
VI. Amphi Festival 2010 – The Orkus Open Air – The spectacle goes on!

Of course there is an Amphi Festival in 2010. From 24th till 25th July 2010 we will be back at the Tanzbrunnen Cologne, putting everything on assembling a top-class program in order to organize the best festival for you, the greatest fans in the world! The booking has already begun and so we are happy to announce the first bands for 2010 very soon!
