The setlist voting for the upcoming tour is in full swing but please don’t take up too much time with your votes. After JANOSCH MOLDAU’s causing quite a stir with his theatrical performances and his second album ‘Motel Songs’ since the end of last year, the poet of elaborated electro pop comes back on stage again. If you’ve missed JAOSCH MOLDAU on his tour in autumn 2008, you can get your doze from February to April. JANOSCH MOLDAU now supports De/VISION on their upcoming shows in Germany. Simple Minds @ Citadel Music Festival
As one of the most successful pop bands of their generation, the SIMPLE MINDS celebrated their 30th stage anniversary in 2008 with six exclusive UK concerts and now come on tour with a huge ‘Best OF’ program with a cross section of the albums ‘New Gold Dream’ (1982) with hits like ‘Promised you a miracle’, ‘Glittering Price’, ‘Someone, Somewhere (In Summertime)’ followed by hits from the albums ‘Life in a Day’ (1979), ‘Reel to Reel Cacophony’ (1979), ‘Empires and Dances’ (1980) as well as ‘Sons & Fascination’ (1980) with the hit ‘Love Song’. More highlights of the set are the hits from the albums ’Sparkle in the Rain’ (1984) like ‘Waterfront’ and ‘Up on the Catwalk’, their hit single ‘(Don’t You) Forget about me’ being #1 in the US in 1985, and the album ‘Once Upon A Time’ with the unforgettable anthem ‘Alive and Kicking’.

Rock songs of rock musicians about rock musicians on tour tend to become boring, self-referencing crap, you should avoid if you can. But you obviously can’t apply the same rules on those, constantly blessing the world live with exciting music for years like the Followill family (Caleb, Nathan, Jared and Cousin Matthew), Especially, when considering such a remarkable composition as the hymnal ‘Use Somebody’. The second single of the current album ‘Only by the Night’ was crafted on the road again. The loneliness of the sheer endless concert journeys inspired singer and front man Caleb Followill to one of the most longing, most poignant, and most catchy in the band’s history.
