You can finally get hold of the new WITHIN TEMPTATION single ‘Forgiven’ which is a harbinger for the highly anticipated CD/DVD of the grandiose ‘Black Symphony’ show at Rotterdam’s Ahoy which will hit the shops on 19th September. Besides the complete Black Symphony show it also comprises a part of the live show in Beursgebouw. Therefore the single includes 3 exclusive tracks from this concert. In many countries it’ll only be released as digital download so the single will probably become a collector’s item.- Details

The last days were full of work on the new VAN CANTO website as it was completely reworked and is now online (http://www.vancanto.de/). From 19th to 23rd August, the Games Convention took place. VAN CANTO were on stage here and excited the gamer community with best Acapella Metal. The Melodic Thrashcore band SCRATCHED SURFACE from Germany hits the road to kick your ass. On the one hand the sound of the album is inspired by straight Thrash Metallike Machine Head, Metallica, Slayer and Sepultura and on the other bymodern metal like Slipknot and Mudvayne as well as hard Metalcore andSwedish death-thrash like the Haunted and At The Gates. SCRATCHED SURFACEare mixing this extreme and hard sound full of moshparts and intense grooveswith their own characteristic style along with various emotional, melodicparts and create thereby their own, distinctive sound. In a post on his blog at Bonharris.com, Nitzer Ebb member Bon Harris has confirmed that Nitzer Ebb are no longer signed to Mute: "We are still in negotiation with various interested parties. Some very promising offers, and more coming in daily. Contrary to several rumours we have not signed with anyone as yet." The production for the new Nitzer Ebb album in the meantime is basically complete. Flood will do the final mix of the material later this month. There is also a Nitzer Ebb documentary in the making although it has been a bit delayed for various reasons. The band have met up with potential collaborators in the LA area to continue and complete this project. Source: Side Line Magazine
