15.000 spectators celebrated the 2.Area 4 festival in Lüdinghausen a complete weekend at 28° and sparkling sunlight. The otherwise so calm and pastoral area of Borkenberge Airfield turned into a big party camp for three days. Firmly established rock bands like DIE ÄRZTE, THE HIVES, APOCALYPTICA, BAD RELIGION and MILLENCOLIN performed on two stages; and on the tent stage not only various newcomers, but also successful acts like THE FUTUREHEADS and BIFFY CLYRO were celebrated.

There’s no need to be sad if you haven’t had the chance to get hold of a ticket, because as conclusion to an extraordinary year UNHEILIG have something very special up their sleeves: Unheilig & Friends – “Vorhang auf!” – Annual Closure Concert 2008!An exciting and moving year with UNHEILIG slowly comes to an end and the preparations for the big finale have already started. On 20th December 2008, Der Graf, Henning and Licky welcome you in Cologne’s Theatre at the Tanzbrunnen for the annual closure concert: “Unheilig & Friends… - Vorhang auf!”. As a highlight you can vote your favourite songs into the setlist on the band’s website http://www.unheilig.com/ so you can help shape this memorable event. All in all you can expect at least 2 hours of UNHEILIG, a meet & greet with the Count; as well as some exciting surprises. The evening is being completed by a big after show party with all band members.

One of the most important representatives of hard German Rock continues to follow its very own way in 2008. With a new singer and a new album ‘Heuchler’, they continue to follow the course, started with ‘Herzwerk 2’ which leads them away form the Teutonic seeming Metal of past days to modern hard rock with German lyrics. Wit the new front man Lex MEGAHERZ wants to interfere in the rock circus again and they’ll go on a large-scale tour in autumn. Furthermore, the band hopes to be able to play a small tour in the US soon. But for now they’ll please the fans here with honest German metal art.
