German-based Goth'n'Rollers THE PUSSYBATS will enter Sinustal-Studios in Essen, Germany in June to kick off the recordings for their yet untitled album. It's gonna be produced by Chai Devereaux, guitar player and producer of the indutrial-rock-up-and-comers Jesus on Extasy, anticipated release date is winter 2008 via Black Rain Records. Fitting the European Championship in Football, the Amphi Festival starts the Amphi cup this year. The first football tournament of the independent scene starts in the frame of the Amphi Festival on18th July 2008 at the Cologne Indoor-Soccer Hall Wessels. Five teams with a high class line-up, consisting of music notables, Amphi attendees, sponsors, organizers and representatives of the media will turn up the heat as of 7:30 PM and the team selections are as follows:

In the US and Canada, the new album of the Massachusetts based alternative rock band STAIND will be released via Atlantic Records. For the rest of the world, Roadrunner Records will do the job. ‘Illusion of Progress’ is the sixth album of STAIND. The last release of the band was a single collection in 2006. The album will be released on 5th September and the first single is called ‘Believe’. DIARY OF DREAMS have been confirmed as headliners at the ALTERNATYWNA TWIERDZA Festival in Klodzko on 12th July 2008. Furthermore, the band will play two gigs in England: in Sheffield on 27th and in London on 28th September 2008. On 2nd October 200, DIARY OF DREAMS will appear as co-headliners at the Dark Area Festival in Kassel before leaving for Australia: Together with COVENANT, the band will play some gigs in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.- Details
