The first open air festivals are finally taking place and also M'era Luna Festival comes with some news. First of all, the winner of the Danish Newcomer contest is announced, who will be added to the festival's line-up. Winner is the band EUZEN, an experimental, progressive, complex and catchy band in the universe of acoustic and electronic sounds, somewhere between Dreampop and poetry, between Electronica and symphonic-morbid Indie. Mute are delighted to announce the release of Plastikman’s new album, EX, his first album release since 2003’s Closer. Listen to an excerpt here! Plastikman, aka Richie Hawtin recorded EX at the Guggenheim, New York’s iconic art museum. This very special performance was at the invitation of influential Belgium fashion designer and artistic director at Dior, Raf Simons, for the Guggenheim’s annual fundraiser, performed around a specially constructed LED obelisk.

DragonForce have announced former Braindamage and Kill Ritual drummer Gee Anzalone has joined the band. A native of Turin, Italy, Gee is a drum teacher who graduated from the NAMM Academy of Milan and carries on the well established multi-national mix of musicians that make up DragonForce. Gee will make his live debut on the forthcoming 'Maximum Overload' UK Tour which commences on September 17th in Edinburgh and replaces Dave Mackintosh who recorded 4 albums with the band prior to the forthcoming 'Maximum Overload' which is released on August 15th.

Southern California based four man hatecrew, NAILS, have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment to release their as-of-yet-untitled third album. This rabidly anticipated full-length, is currently tentatively scheduled to be unleashed upon the masses sometime in the first quarter of 2015.

“After waging an oppressive blitzkrieg against the world in 2013 with »Abandon All Life«, NAILS will join the ranks of the legendary Nuclear Blast for our next campaign of grindcore/death/punk tyranny,” comments vocalist/guitarist Todd Jones.
