On September 28th, 2009 Swedish Metal masters ARCH ENEMY will release their new studio album “The Root Of All Evil” in Europe. It contains a selection of completely re-recorded tracks from the band’s first three albums “Black Earth” (1996), “Stigmata” (1998) and “Burning Bridges” (1999) reenergized and upgraded by the band’s definitive line-up!Originally recorded with ever changing band members (i.e. former vocalist Johan Liiva, drummer Peter Wildoer, bass player Martin Bengtsson), “The Root Of All Evil” presents classic ARCH ENEMY tracks with the insane vocals of Angela Gossow, several completely new bass lines by Sharlee D’Angelo, the ever-present guitar wizardry of the Amott brothers as well as Daniel Erlandsson’s merciless punch. The entire project was approached with the idea of having the possibility to re-add these songs to the bands live set and follow up the release with some special touring activity.

Montreal’s masters of brutality, DESPISED ICON, report in with a batch of news while playing the final leg of the US Thrash and Burn tour: “Thanks to everyone that checked out our new song “MVP” on our myspace. About one year has passed since their last tour and already, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR are up for another one. In order to celebrate their 13th year as band, SAMSAS TRAUM thought of a special present for their fans: a birthday tour. And as a little extra special, the fans had the possibility to hand in their wishes concerning the setlist and what has been voted most will be played, no matter if it is old or new. So now there is no saying how the final setlist will look like, for the constant changes the band's style has gone through for the last 13 years. As a support, the yet rather unknown Italians of ALIGHT will be there, a definite contrast to SAMSAS TRAUM.
