Since 2006 Van Canto has been the scene's breath of fresh air, as they perform all of their songs a cappella with drums being the only other instrument at play. In this manner, the band can create unique and intriguing songs such as “The Mission” or “Speed of Light”, as well as reinterpretations of classic metal songs like “Battery”, “Kings of Metal”, and “Fear of the Dark”. Furthermore, Van Canto is a veteran of the stage, having performed at various live encounters, e.g., Magic Circle Festival, and Wacken Open Air, to name but a few. An ever growing fanbase is living proof that innovation and tradition do not have to negate each other, but can instead give new impulses to a somewhat stalemate scene. Fans may watch a glimpse of studio life and a statement about the signing HERE. More Van Canto clips can be found HERE. Source: Newsletter

Some news from the Faderhead camp:I am currently preparing the next Faderhead release. It will be an EP called "Horizon Born" and it will feature only ballads. So if you you liked "Exit Ghost", this one will be for you! The release date for Europe and for the online release is October 23, 2009 and I'd like to ask you for a bit of help with the following question: Which release medium do you prefer? Downloads? Vinyl? CD? Please take a minute and head over to: http://faderhead.com/blog/ to answer the survey (it's only 2 clicks, no registration needed :) don't worry!). It will directly influence how I will release things in the future, so please let me know what you think!

There is some news around the death metal prioneers DEATH. After the death of Chuck Schuldiner the music of this unic band became more and more famous among people. There is a new website online with a special message to the fans. http://www.chuck-schuldiner.org/ also to promote his latest CD. This project was originally intended to be a "Contest", however, trying to comply with all of the different laws of so many different Countries, regarding Contests, was virtually impossible OR we would have had to exclude certain Countries. Rather, we made the site a Membership site, the same cost as the original "Contest entry", $25 US dollars.
