The band consisting of Herry Mono and Derek Vulkano already made a duo of untouchable coolness and on the international live circuit with Bad-Taste-Golf outfit, they’re cutting the best figure you can imagine. With sounds, coming from their vintage gear, energetic live drums, freaky echo effects, and ironic speech and vocal samples, there’s much to swallow for the dance-addicted masses. Following the prolific debut ‘Testsieger Gold 20 Volltreffer’, the band proves they can easily go one better. ‘Norddeutschlands Finest’ on ‘Laguna Fantasia’ get the last out of their old-school synths and drums. First ‘ZION’ (2000), then ‘NOIZ’ (2004) and now ‘IZ ON’! Is it really five years since the band’s released with ‘Vielleicht’ the first single from their multi-platinum certified album ‘NOIZ’? Indeed the band from Mannheim have taken their time but now the first taste of what’s to come with ‘IZ ON’ was released on 26th June with the eponymous single. The upcoming third album righteously rouses great expectations and makes a demanding start ‘IZ ON’ means something like ‘Here we go! Break with your idleness’. The single comes with 4 tracks; a video edit, instrumental, and the current video. With ‘IZ ON’, the band manages once again to bring their various musical talents to the point; a caressing cello motif, rocking guitar riffs, 4 voices and speech vocals in English and German, the pervading beats and precise cuts of the DJ create the authentic pop sound, the band is known for.- Details

The guys of MEIN MIO call their songs “Modern City Fairytales”. Following two preceding EPs, they’re finally presenting them in album-length on their debut ‘Irgendwo in dieser großen Stadt’. Musically rooted in the indie pop, their songs emit a modest elegance, relaxed facility and still a compositional depth, especially appearing in the lyrics of singer, bassist, and songwriter Sebastian Block. Spherical guitar sounds and gentle piano melodies make it clear that MEIN MIO is much more than just the next pop act. 3 radio stations, regulated by public law, thought the same and nominated and finalized them for the German ‘RadioawARD’ for new music. The album release is accompanied by the single ‘Wenn wir wüssten’ giving you a good taste of what’s to come a few weeks before the album drops.
