Philadelphian behemoth JAVELINA shall unleash their sophomore album September 29th via Translation Loss Records. The aptly titled Beasts Among Sheep boasts eight tracks of the band's ultra-brutal brew of sludge-inspired, streetfight gutter metal, as was witnessed on their 2008 debut self-titled release. These rabid hymns were captured in March of this year at Volume Studios in Chicago by Sanford Parker, and mastered at the Boiler Room in Chicago by Collin Jordan. The cover art, as with the previous album, was handled by Jason Goldberg (Olde City Tattoo, The Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravaganza, etc.). - Details

It's with great sadness and disappoinment that GWYDION has to announce that they have to cancel the Destroying Europe Tour, which would have started at Aug. 14. Below you can find the official statement of headliner SHINING for this tour and Gwydion had also no other choice than to step away from this badly organised tour by booking agency Metal Maniac from Romania. The band's thoughts go to their fans, all of them had been looking forward to meet all fans on tour and give them a great show and canceling so short before the tour starts is a nightmare. Needless to say that Gwydion will of course terminate their contract with Metal Maniac Booking Agency and hopes that no other bands have to experience what they had to experience today !!! Sweden’s MALEFICIO has signed with APOLLON RECORDS for the release of their sophomore album “Go To Hell”. The band is currently in the studio recording the vocals, and the remaining solo guitar parts, and it is anticipated that everything, including the mixing and mastering, will be finished by the end of August, ready for an autumn release.
Playing strongly riff-orientated powerhouse Death Metal, MALEFICIO was started in 1990, by vocalist DAN SOXX (formerly of EXITUS and ex-session member of PAGAN RITES) and drummer PTR (ex-THE HATRED, EMMA VARG). Taking their inspiration from a wide range of metal acts, and blending all the different styles to form their own trademark sound, the band eventually settled on the name MALEFICIO from the Jack Nicholson movie of the same name, and its definitive line up came into being in 2008, when the 4-piece, guitarist MIKE (ex-MNEMONIC) and former ARCHANGEL bassist GOAT having previously joined the two founding members, became a 5-piece with the arrival of rhythm guitarist BIG TORE (ex-GRIEF OF EMERALD).

Self-styled Necro’n’Rollers KVELERTAK, have previewed two new tracks that are a further illustration of the band’s decision to adopt a more professional approach when it comes to recording their work, and which, according to guitarist BJARTE, takes the band in a slightly different direction, and one that they plan to investigate further. “Ordsmedar av Rang” is a brand new track, which was recorded at the Bekk Studios in Stavanger and which was engineered, produced and mixed by Ashley Stubbert together with the KVELERTAK. “Liktorn”, on the other hand, was recorded at the same time as “Fossegrim”, the track that features CARPATHIAN FOREST front man NATTEFROST on vocals.
