"Blunt Force Volume", the debut album by California's industrial rock band WE GOT THIS FAR will be released in Europe through Spiralchords/Al!ve on August 21st, 2009
WE GOT THIS FAR were founded in 2007 by Ollie Marsh and Jason Silva after meeting in 2006 while being live musicians for San Francisco based group Stormdrain. They eventually found out they vibed with each other musically and on a personal basis and started working on songs.

Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA have posted more video footage from the recording sessions for their new album. The latest clip focuses on the choir recordings and can be viewed on their mobile blog: http://www.royalartistclub.com/epica/Guitarist Mark Jansen reportedly revealed in a recent Dutch intervew that the band's next studio album will be called "Design Your Universe". The group entered Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany on March 2 with producer Sascha Paeth to begin recording the follow-up to 2007's "The Divine Conspiracy", tentatively due in September/October via Nuclear Blast Records.

Gothic Metal icon Morten Veland (Tristania, Sirenia) has inked a deal with Napalm Records for his new band Mortemia. Morten promises his fans a sweeping listening experience, which will follow the path of Tristania’s masterpiece “Beyond the Veil”. The first songs stay true to his promise and offer beautiful melodies and bombastic choir passages, thus creating the perfect blend of traditional Gothic Metal and modern elements.

Norwegian gothic -metal band SIRENIA have to cancel their appearance on the Metal Female Festival in Belgium. German band Krypteria will replace them on 17-18 November 2009.A statementon their official website:
Due to irregularities done in the booking procedure of the show at Metal Female Voices Fest, Sirenia’s show at this specific festival will be cancelled. The band itself has nothing to do with this mishap, and we sadly regret this inconvenience for all our fans.
