Dutch goth-metal band EPICA will tour together with the new formation around Kamelot's pianist Oliver Palotai. SONS OF SEASONS just released their debut album 'Gods Of Vermin.' The tour will start in October.
Their debut is well received by the press. Metal Hammer compares them with Kamelot, Theatre Of Tragedy and Stratovarius. A facination mixture how the band manages to find their own sound between those big respectfull bands. That promises a lot for the future. Recently the formation stood on the Metal Camp festival. The roots of the project ULYTAU, which translates “Big Mountain”, date back to the year 2001 when producer Kydyrali Bolmanov conceived it to merge the orient and the occident in a musical way combing it with classical arrangements. ‘Two Warriors’, now is close to its release on 17th July 2009 and is going to lure listeners with an eclectic mixture of classical themes and contemporary sounds brought to live with the virtuosic hands of Nurgaisha Sadvakasova (violin) Maxim Kichigin (solo guitar) Erjan Alimbetov (dombra) Roman Adonin (keyboards) Evgeny Sizov (bass guitar) and Igor Djavad-Zade (drums).- Details

Finally! On July 10th the band entered the Abyss studio together with producer Peter Tägtgren to begin the recording of a new, yet untitled, full-length album. Not sure how long it’ll take to finalize and nail the new stuff, but they’re roughly expecting to spend the next 4-5 weeks or so in the Studio.Since they won’t have regular access to internet while they work on the new record, they have set up a Twitter account. Just imagine the following ingredients: A musical combination of AC/DC, TORFROCK, NAZARETH and ROSE TATTOO, a harp, German lyrics, St. Pauli-local colour including biker outfits in proper style. The result is called OHRENFEINDT. Since 1994, the band from Hamburg’s red-light district “Reeperbahn” has impressed many biker souls and lovers of authentic Power Rock. A lot of appearances at biker events, festivals and clubs as well as the long-players `Schmutzige Liebe´ (2003), `Rock’n’Roll Sexgott´ (2005) and `Mit Vollgas und Blaulicht´ (2007) made the formation attain cult status in this scene.
