The TRASMONKEYS will be releasing their new single ‘Leaving Home’ from the album ‘Smile’ on 5th June 2009. The 5 lads from Bremen, Cologne, Hamburg, and Lancaster are back again and better than ever. Tatty jeans, a decent leather jacket, fucked up chucks, and the wide-open garage. Here are the TRASHMONKEYS and they’re ‘Leaving Home’. The second single ‘Leaving Home’ from the current album ‘Smile’ doesn’t even ask to let it in. The organ wails, the guitars shred and the rhythm section pumps + a chorus and a hook line that’ll be with you all day. That’s the definition of ‘cocky’ which the ‘Beat’ inventors in the working class districts of London and the garages of Detroit had in mind. Just before the TRASMONKEYS start with their festival tour there’s new video material in the form of the new video to ‘Leaving Home’ at http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=34291632 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATmqvzhOJMc - Details

The band seems to have done it all the right way with their new album ‘Schuldig’. They entered the German Album Charts on #34 and the tour in April was a full success. In the Metal DJ Charts MRC30 they even climbed to #1 before SUBWAY TO SALLY, PAPA ROACH and MASTODON. The band’s growing up to be a real dance floor burner anyway so it didn’t come to nothing that ‘Flucht ins Glück’, the first single off the album reached the upper ranks in all relevant DJ charts. With ‘Finsternis’ LETZTE INSTANZ presents their second single and with it rocks in unusually stormy manner. ‘Finsternis’ is a real anthem on the good side, on life, on LETZTE INSTANZ. AS bonus tracks on the single you’ll find a remix by the band’s cellist M.Stolz and JESUS ON EXTASY guitarist Chai Deveraux. That ‘Finsternis’ is also working pretty well in the live circuit can be seen at several summer festivals this year. A new tour is planned for December. The dates will follow shortly.- Details
