The first Orkus Open Air Festival was held 2005 in the Amphi Theatre Gelsenkirchen. For the 2006 even, the location was changed and the festival took place at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne where also this year’s festival will take place presenting again a great musical mix of all dark genres. The venue itself is really beautifully situated at the river Rhine and guarantees again for a great festival atmosphere.

Swedish progmetal band Pain Of Salvation has the following update on their website concerning the decision from Johan Langell to leave the band:We are sad to announce that Johan Langell has decided to leave the band, to focus on family. This is not a sudden decision, but something that has been pending for several years. As the band now rapidly continues to grow for each year, the time and commitment needed for being in studio and on tours increase. Not really wanting this, Johan chose to include the whole band in his doubts regarding this directly from the start, and now when the time has finally come, this is what they all have to say about the situation.
