Samael - “Passage 2022” Tour - Support: Diabolical
SAMAEL will be celebrating the 25th+1 anniversary of ‘Passage’ in 2022, an album that after quarter of a century still stands as a landmark release - a highly influential album building a gap between Metal, Electronic and Industrial; ‘Passage’ is a milestone in the band’s career and the best-selling release in the history of SAMAEL and Century Media. Come 2022, the band will be playing some shows with this legendary album performed in its entirety, including material from their other works as well. An updated production will accompany the shows.

Riding on the strength of their latest ‘Tainted’ album, released in late 2021 via Orden Records, iconic post-punk outfit and darkwave pioneers PINK TURNS BLUE will embark on their “Tainted 2022” tour, which kicks off on September 2 in Seattle. To mark this occasion, the band will also release the ‘Tainted Tour 2022’ EP with four songs reflecting their emotional state in today’s world.

The Darkwave band A PROJECTION from Stockholm is known for their powerful and energetic live shows and their sound has been described as “a danceable mixture of dark wave and electronica, with both depth and edge”. Having released three full-length albums, the band has so far stayed rather firmly rooted in the post-punk genre. With their latest singles ‘Darwin’s Eden’ and ‘No Control’, however, A PROJECTION is entering a more electronic realm, placing themselves in the intersection between the synth and post-punk music of the 80s and a more contemporary electronic sound. The new single ‘Careless’ is continuing that path and give a pretty accurate foretaste of the upcoming album, that will be released on Metropolis Records later this year.- Details

Metropolis Records mourns the death of our founder and president, Dave Heckman (1954-2022). Dave passed unexpectedly on Friday, July 29th and is survived by his wife Gail, and their two children, Colin and Nina. Dave leaves behind an indelible mark on the world of underground music. In 1991 he and Gail opened Digital Underground, a record store near South Street in Philadelphia. The store found a niche importing hard to find Industrial and Darkwave CDs from Europe. This success inspired him to start Metropolis Records in 1993 with the first release arriving in 1994 with the obscure neoclassical German band LOVE IS COLDER THAN DEATH. Metropolis would go on to release albums by FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, KMFDM, SKINNY PUPPY, FRONT 242, JUNO REACTOR, SHE PAST AWAY, CLAN OF XYMOX, THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE, DELERIUM, BAUHAUS, MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE, amongst the nearly 1,300 releases to date.- Details

Levellers
Founded in 1988 in Brighton/UK, the band THE LEVELLERS quickly gained a large fan base and also placed songs in the charts. After postponing their concert dates twice, the British band is finally coming to Germany. On 7th October, they will perform at the Cologne club Gloria. THE LEVELLERS combine their Punk Rock with traditional British Folk and also bring in Celtic influences in places.
