FREE & EASY FESTIVAL: Fiddler’s Green & Mr. Irish Bastard
Every year in the time of the summer holidays, a festival, the so-called Free & Easy Festival, takes place at the Backstage in Munich. There is a daily programme, consisting of concerts, cinema, theatre, parties, cabaret… And the best thing: the entry is free! This year, the festival takes place for the 18th time and lasts from the 21st July 2012 up to the 4th August 2012. A lot of great bands are already announced, until now more than 40 events!
At the 24th of July 2012, fast, Irish sounds enter the Backstage with the in 1990 founded Folk-Rock band FIDDLER'S GREEN from Erlangen. Last year, they released their eleventh album 'Wall Of Folk' on which on two songs, also the front man from IN EXTREMO, Das letzte Einhorn, and his bagpipes master, Flex der Biegsame, are to be heard. However, in the Backstage FIDDLER'S GREEN will be supported by the Münster based Folk-Punk band MR. IRISH BASTARD. They've already played with such famous bands like THE POGUES or NEW MODEL ARMY.
