After their breath-taking concert at the Brandenburger Tor on New Year’s Eve, the band comes now back to Germany! Neil Francis Tennant and Christopher Sean Lowe will play a concert during the renowned Dortmund Music Week on 1st July 2013. Destination on this day for all fans will be the Westfalenhalle, where PET SHOP BOYS surely will burn down a summer firework.
The tour will run under the title “Electric” and the band again worked together with the best of the best: they booked Grammy winner Stuart Price, who already worked with MADONNA, THE KILLERS and TAKE THAT, as producer. The tour itself and the stage design lies in the creative hands of Es Devlin, who as well already worked with TAKE THAT, but also created spectacular sets for LADY GAGA or KANYE WEST & JAY Z. As highlight of his career, he shaped the final celebration of Olympic Games in London 2012. So, you can be really curious what he created for the “Electric” tour.
“Electric” is a well-chosen name for the tour. With it, the band liked to underline and highlight their unmistakable electronic sound. The will present a cross-selection through their whole career, from the beginning to their current album ‘Elysium’. And even more. They will surely also present their current single ‘Memory of the Future’ that was released on 28th December 2012. The team of the tour will be completed by choreographer Lynne Page who already arranged the background dancers and choreography since 2000.
