The Swedish Melodic Death Metal guys from AMON AMARTH will bring some Viking flair into Docks on November 29th 2013. After 8 albums, they serve their newest masterpiece: ‘Deceiver of the Gods’ is available since June 21th 2013, and now all the fans of Hamburg get the chance to bang their heads live on their lyrics about Vikings and Nordic mythologies.
AMON AMARTH was founded as SCUM in 1992 in the near of Stockholm. After a new lead singer in the same year, they changed the name to AMON AMARTH. Although nobody of them is an Lord of the Rings-Fan, the name comes from the romans of J. R. R. Tolkien. The newspaper call them “original, honest and straight-forward“. Even though they look like real Swedish Vikings, it is no Viking metal they perform, says guitarist Olavi Mikkonen, it is simple death metal. Best thing you can do, is to buy your tickets, enjoy the show and do a trip with AMON AMARTH back to Scandinavia.
