Trentemøller, Tom And His Computer
TRENTEMÖLLER, Denmark's prime producer and DJ, is coming to Germany this February to play a few selected shows – and there's also a gig in Cologne! He did it again: On his recently released album ‘Fixion’, Anders Trentemøller has once again succeeded in bringing the melancholy to the club. There are songs that make you chill out and also animate you to dance with their demanding bass lines. This happens when you listen to his tunes on record, but of course, it works even better when you get to hear the Dane perform live with his band. Together they create technoid and organic sounds on stage. His four-piece band also includes singer Marie Fisker, who has enriched ‘Fixion’ and many other albums with her voice. Those who know TRENTEMÖLLER, also know that they can expect a stage and lighting show which is in perfect harmony with the mood of his music. Save the date!
As special guest, TOM AND HIS COMPUTER from Copenhagen, will be at the Essigfabrik. Thomas Bertelsen is the man behind this project, which he describes as follows: “T.O.M is a producer who started out as a teen by looping bits and pieces on his 4 track tape recorder. As a teenager he held DJ residencies at some of the biggest dance halls in Copenhagen and Scandinavia. Now for the very first time TOM AND HIS COMPUTER presents his very own music for a live audience. Although his music is computer-based, it may be hard to categorize just as electronic music. When performing T.O.M. mixes various pieces of electronica, lofi guitars, vocal samples and cinematic soundscapes.” Sounds interesting!
